For the Swedes in the US..a question about butter

Well this is really a question for anyone who is a fan of Swedish butter. What American brand is most like the spreadable Swedish butters. You know your Lätt och Lågoms and the such.

I can't believe it's not butter? Maybe?

It's been a while since I was there but I remember that it's about that consistency.

"I Can't Believe it's Not Butter" is disgusting - my personal view, of course. Wink

The one and only thing I use on my sandwiches is:

Brummel & Brown

That's the closest I've come to "Lätta" & "Lätt & Lagom" that I used in Sweden. Very Happy

I can't believe that lätta and lätt och lågom is the butter of choice. Becel all the way here! (unless the others are REALLY cheap) Very Happy

Edit: In the states I believe my family used country crock butter. that's all I can remember using anyways.

Thanks for the picture Mimsie Smile Is that something that is stocked in most stores? I haven't seen it before but I also haven't looked for it. Easy to miss when you are not looking for it Smile

I think I bough country crock before but I can't remember the reviews from my inlaws. I personally don't like country crock all that much :/

We have been dealing with this issue for almost 5 years in my household. EVERY TIME we buy butter I have to listen to the Swede bitch about spreadability. I dont want margarine, I want real butter, but he complains that it isnt "like it is at home". We did ICBINB for a little while, but I cant stand it and he got over it, so we switched to the Brummel and Brown and that seems to have worked for the time being. Sometimes he buys Promise too.

Land O Lakes makes a "Spredable Butter with Canola Oil" which has the same ingredients as Bregott. I have no idea if it's any good or easy to find.

I've seen the land-o-lakes one. I'll try the Brummel and Brown (if I can remember to look for it at the store) and the land-o-lakes. Thanks!
