Individual oven safe soup bowls

I love making hearty homey soups in the fall and winter (since thats like most of the year here..lol). I would love to find some oven safe bowls, perhaps with a handle, that I can make individual portions in. Rather then use a big casserole dish.

My mom used to have the old brown ceramic ones with the handle. And every year, on one of the two cold days in S.Fla, she'd make french onion soup in those bowls. It was awesome! With the gooey cheese melting over the side and everything!

Anyone have any idea where I could find these or other oven safe bowls? or what they would be called here? Since we are in Eskilstuna, and rarely go to Stockholm, I'd rather either online purchase or a chain store (i.e. Cervera, etc). I'm not looking to spend a fortune on them.

Thanks!

Cervera has a Ramekin set (2 for 179 kr). Would that work? Different colors are available.

Looking for something a bit bigger hopefully with a handle.

I do want those too though. For like custards and stuff. Smile My fully stocked kitchen is now the property of my parents back in America...and my boyfriend only had the bare essentials when I moved here. lol. So little by little...turning it into a cooks kitchen (and not a bachelor's kitchen). Hehehe

These Le Creuset Soppskålar look pretty good. Are they what you have in mind?

I was thinking of something from Le Creuset also ... if they don't have exactly what you want in the shop perhaps they would order it for you?

this is a great online resource also:

I googled "Soppskålar" and came up with these pretty quickly...

I would love to have everything by Le Creuset, but they aren't cheap! lol.

I found some pics (searching in english). Oh and the porsil soup things with the little handles on each side and the le creuset ones are super cute! Would love to have those.

The last one is exactly what my mom had as I was growing up. Not so cute, but they were great!

I bought our french onion soup bowls at our local ÖB they are oven to tableware with lid ... keep your eye out also at Rusta.
Hope this helps Smile

If you're willing to pay for Le Creuset, I would recommended Pillivuyt which is not only available at Cervera but better quality.

Not cheap, but it will last forever. The brand is very popular in Denmark and one of the few things that is usually cheaper there.
