visas for Americans in Sweden going to India and China
hey guys-
taking a business trip to China and India, mid Jan. Both of my visas for those countries are expired. I work about an hour north of Stockholm. How do I go about getting visas for those 2 countries as an American over here? In NYC, I went to the respective Indian and Chinese embassies. Same procedure here, I assume? does anyone know if thsoe embassies are conveniently located in Stockholm, by chance CLOSE to each other- is there a district for all those places? I am not that familiar with Stockholm.THanks for your help!

Hey,
The last time I made a trip to India, you just needed to go into the Embassy and apply for a visa. The place is really easy to get to and the address is: Adolf Fredriks Kyrkogata 12
You will probably want to take the subway or a bus to the Chinese Embassy...I think the closest tunnelbana station is Gärdet.
Good Luck!

Hey Karen,
I have no idea. I do know that from the States when applying for a visa - you can expedite it, but I don't think they can do it within a day, but maybe give them a call...they only have a certain number of hours regarding visas and such - so it's best to call them now.
Hopefully there are some others on here who have some experience as well! Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Don't know about India, but for China, they used to be able to do a one day turnaround, for multiple re entry visas valid for 1 year .It was something like a 180 usd .(thru the Chinese embassy in SF) I assume they would do the same for Stockholm(major capital city)However, before/during the Olympics, there were lots of changes for visas to China.
Check their website or call them to be sure.
